This annual one-day workshop for department chairs, leaders, and prospective leaders will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, 9:00 am–3:00 pm, the day before the JMM begins. The workshop will provide opportunities to share experiences with issues and trends that have an impact on math department chairs, math departments, and colleges and universities. Workshop topics include effective meeting management, supporting students seeking non-academic careers, ideas for orientation of new faculty, and conflict management.. The organizers expect the workshop to help build a community of leaders who can continue to exchange ideas and offer each other support and advice.
